Bright red buds on Turk's Cap

I love these bright red buds against their particular shade of green leaves.  I loved these every time I saw them, but never had one of my own until last year, when a friend gave one to me as a gift.  Now I have four!  They are supposed to propagate by rooting, root division, or seed.  I tried propagating them by rooting, but that didn’t work well.  So far, I find “buying more” works best for me.

Wasn’t there a flower here just one minute ago?

I love this plant!  A neighbor gave this to me last year for taking care of her garden while she was on vacation.  The mixing of the shades of orange-red blooms and green leaves is perfect.  And the blooms have a way of hiding under the leaves.  Like peek-a-boo, first you see them, then you don’t.  I love these flowers.  I’m not sure how they propagate, but I want more of them.
