Prepared for Elf Visit

Elfin Thyme (Thymus praecox 'Elfin')

Elfin Thyme (Thymus praecox 'Elfin')

This is a closeup of a groundcover I have called Elfin Thyme.  It has Tiny, tight leaves on a mounding plant.  I used to keep hardwood mulch on this bed on the outside border of the Labyrinth, but I couldn’t get it timed right so that I removed the mulch in time for the bulbs and corms to push up.  Now, they come up right through the Thyme.

This next photo gives you a perspective of the size of its tiny leaves.  It is from overhead.  The Thyme has grown right out through the bed walls, into the path.
