Bright red cannas are supposed to be the most invasive, but mine aren't overly so.
This bright red canna is among some that I planted in 1996 when I first moved into the house. I have heard that cannas, especially red ones, are invasive, but mine have been easily controlled to a limited space. They add such bright color to the garden, as well as providing greenery with their huge leaves. I have planted more this year, some that are yellow, and some that are yellow and red.
